salt marsh for eel grass, marsh grass and seaweed and collect 1 of each
- Check on
rocky shore for seaweed and collect 2 samples of each
- Guess
densities
- Check for Ralfsia and Calcareous Algae
NEED : Garbage Bags, Clip
Board, Baggies
2. Salt
Marsh Sediment
- Randomly sift soil
4-6 times with strainer and shovel
- Collect 2 of each
species

Strainer
- Analyze one cubic
foot of sand and record what is found every 2 inches
- Collect soil
sample- note anaerobic soil
- Walk around beach
and collect animals, data, and note tracks
NEED :
Strainer,
Shovel,
Bottles, Clip board, Baggies, Tweezers<>

NEED :
Fishing Boots, Tweezers, Bottles, clipboard and Baggies
4.
Rocky
Shore Animals
- DO
Upper, Middle and Lower Shores
- Lift rocks, sift
water, look in pools and rock crevices
- Get densities per
shore
- Get one of each
specimen if possible

analysis of 1 square meter of each shore counting all plants and
animals in it
- NEED : Strainer, Tweezers, Boots, and Bottles
5.
Environmental
Factors
